Proposition Design

The Challenge

Schiphol’s Kiss & Ride was regularly jammed by visitors parking at one spot for too long. For the experiment, ktc installed intelligent optical sensors that gave insight into car parking time and the amount of available spots. This information was fed real-time to the parking attendants.

Our Approach

The experiment improved the coordination of the parking attendants and it is expected that parking times will decrease and visitors will get a better insight into the available spots.

The Result

The improved flow of traffic relieves travellers of stress during the Ride and gives them more time for a Kiss!
